Viva 2008- The Year in Review

What happened in the VIVA-world in 2008.
We have put together the most important entertainment
news of the year.

February:
Tokio Hotel are busy conquering Amerika.
At their first concert in New York, their fans already
know the songtexts very well.

March:
Tokio Hotel take care of their future.
In february they take their Realabschluss/final exams
through the internet.
Good to know that the boys are not only planning their
musical future.

Tokio Hotel travel to Luxemburg to perform live there.
The result: no less then 129 girls pass out during the concert.
That is almost Beatles proportions.
Thanks to the 40 first aid helpers nobody is getting seriously injured.

Big commotion under Tokio Hotel fans.
The complete tour has to be cancelled, because Bill has to have vocal cord surgery.
If the operation goes wrong, it could mean the end of the band!

April:
A sight of relieve for the Tokio Hotel fans.
Bill surgery has been a succes and he is giving interviews by email.
If his voice has been damaged, is still unclear.

Since the boys have been already working in Berlin all the time,
the Kaulitz brothers of Tokio Hotel move from Hamburg to Berlin.
Bill is recovering there after his vocal cord surgery.

End of April.
All clear.
Bill has gotten the all clear and can sing again,
That is absolutely necessary.
A little later Tokio Hote rocks a legendary club in L.A

May:
Tokio Hotel are taking over the USA.
at MTV TRL in New York, they cause a screamalarm that can be compared to
the ones in Germany, with "Ready, set, Go"!
End of May:
Viva Comets in Oberhausen.
Winner of the night: Tokio Hotel.
They take away no less then 4 awards.
Best Live Act, Best band, Best Video and the coveted Audience vote award.
With these 4 awards they now own 9 Comet awards, which is a record!

July:
Good news for the willing Tokio Hotel fangirls.
Tom's statement: he has had sex in every city and he is open to it.

August:
If you have a high yearly income, you can buy parts of the former
busstop of the Kaulitz brothers.
The parts of the Tokio Hotel pelgrimageplace are being sold for anything in between 500 and 4000 euros.

September:
Sensational succes for Tokio Hotel.
They win the "Best New Artist" award at the VMA's in Los Angeles.
proof for the legendary Russel Simmons, that they
have now established a place on the US market.

October:
More awards for Tokio Hotel.
Not only did they win big at the Comets and the VMA's, but now also
at the MTV Latin Music Awards in Mexico City.
they take away 4 awards from South America.

November:
Tokio Hotel are in the news with not such a succes story at the beginning of this month.
Drummer Gustav has to practise driving a bit more.
During a drive through Magdeburg, he crashes his BMW into a tram.
Thank god without any personal damages.
A few days later the incident has been forgotten, Tokio Hotel win the "Headliner" award at the MTV awards in Liverpool.
