Le Post: Why are the Tokio Hotel are always made for kids?

Google Translated:

Small question for fans of Tokio Hotel. Why in the interviews, Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav are still made for kids from 8 years?

You've probably noticed, 99% of the time, journalists like to talk their teens boutonneux, with questions like: "Do you go out with a girl at the moment? Do you remember the first time you as kissed? Does it help to be a star to dredge the girls? and blablabla and blablabla ... " So what gossip unimportant to get answers to yard.

Well it is a pity, because instead of "candy cigarettes and chocolate, they would do better to ask questions about their music, their future, their taste or dress on the ideals behind them.

In addition, it is Bill Kaulitz, who will speak. Except of course when it is in English, there is Tom, the "bilingual" the band sticks to them. Although Bilou has made progress in the sacred language of Shakespeare!

Two glaring examples, taken among many, and broadcast on MTV, which in principle is the major music channels.

It's really very interesting to know if in Germany there are M & M'S! It would be good to take seriously a day. I am sure they have plenty of stuff to teach us!

Tokio Hotel is Caught on Camera

Hi! It's me again, and I just want to tell you that I never get tired of writing something for this awesome magazine! I have a massive collection of Banda mags and I must say that you guys rock for having to feature cool artists (some are my all-time faves!). I remember you guys featured my article about The Click Five, and now, I'm gonna write something about Tokio Hotel, one of my favorite bands ever!. I know that this band isn't that popular here in the Philippines, and I just want to spread their name, their music and literally, THEM. I've been a fan of them for quite a while now, and I have to tell you, THIS BAND ROCKS!!. So for those of you who doesn't know anything about this very awesome band, I'll introduce them for you. Tokio Hotel is a German band composed of Bill Kaulitz[vocalist], twin brother Tom Kaulitz[guitarist], Georg Listing [bassist] and Gustav Schafer [drummer].

“The walls are coming closer, my senses fade away”
-Rescue Me, Tokio Hotel

How did I become a massive fan of theirs? It started as a joke. I sent a group message wherein i said, "hey! i love Bill Kaulitz". IT WAS JUST A JOKE! then my friend, who's a fan, sent me a message and she's like, "How did you know that band?". Well, I knew the band before but didn't bother caring for them at all. I mean, what's up with a guy who looks like a girl that has "volumized" hair? They were just normal for me, I didn't care about their music AT FIRST. Then, I realized that, they are really cool, they're music is very touching and inspirational. So I started searching some cool facts about them, until I joined this forum made just for them: Tokio Hotel Pilipinas [check out their site! : www.tokiohotelpilipinas.org ]. So I started talking to awesome Tokio Hotel fans who are really dedicated even though they aren't that famous here. I have learned so much about them, like Bill wants to fall in love with a girl someday, Tom can write something using his both hands and so much more. I even asked some of my relatives who are living abroad to buy me TH merchandise, since only the Tokio Hotel Caught on Camera DVD is available here. Their single, "Monsoon" is very catchy and has a nice melody. My classmates are really in love with that song. And uh, speaking of my classmates and friends, they don't ACTUALLY like them, well for some. They think that Bill is gay and that their music sucks. Well, for all that I know, they don't suck and hey, they're just a group of young people but they make such great music.

“I’m dying but I know our love will live”
-Sacred, Tokio Hotel

I must say this over and over again, that music is about music, not the looks. So why bother criticizing their looks, when their music is awesome like that? I fell in love with this band, not become their vocalist is really that good-looking or anything, but what's more important is the music that they're making which they are most precisely proud of! Now, how much do I love Tokio hotel? Idiomatic expressions such as: I will love them till the hell freezes, or heaven is hell without them are much more appropriate but really, words cannot explain how much I'm in love with them. I guess I will do ANYTHING, and i mean it, ANYTHING just to see them or just say to them personally, how much they make awesome music and how much they make me happy. For me, they’ll remain forever "sacred", for they make me "scream" whenever i hear their music. When I am "on the edge" of my moment, I just popped in my Scream CD to my CD player and "break away".

Here are some of my favorite songs [some are German]: Totgeliebt, Scream, Sacred, Spring Nicht, Freunde Bleiben and Monsoon Smile.

“Live every second, here and now… don’t let go”
-Live Every Second, Tokio Hotel

Gender-bending artist trips up Travis McCoy

By CHRIS JORDAN • Staff Writer • March 17, 2009

It's not easy staying on top of today's music scene. Just ask Travis McCoy, frontman for the alternative hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes.

During a recent phone interview, McCoy fessed up about having a crush on the lead singer for the band Tokio Hotel.

"In the U.K., their posters were everywhere," McCoy said. "I'm like, this chick is kind of hot. I'm like, I'm sure she's pretty young but she's going to be cute, she's going to be hot when she grows up — not a chick at all."

Nope, Tokio Hotel's lead singer is an androgynous-looking German fella named Bill Kaulitz, who has taken to dressing like a Japanese anime character when on stage.

"It was one of those "Crying Game' moments where you have to take a shower — it was bad!" McCoy said. "I'm like, how dare you — that's false advertising!"

Kaulitz and Tokio Hotel would further vex McCoy.

"My girlfriend, my ex-girlfriend (Katy Perry) was up for Best New Artist (at the MTV Video Music Awards) and they won," McCoy said. "I'm watching the speech thinking "Just say thank you,' you know, and he went on and on. I'm not a hater so I can't get really deep into these guys."

In the words of Ray Davies, it's a mixed-up world. As for Gym Class Heroes, there's no confusing who these hitmakers are. The band comes Thursday, March 19, to the Prudential Center in Newark as part of Lil Wayne's "I Am Music" tour with T-Pain and Keri Hilson.

"I love it," McCoy said of touring with Lil Wayne. "Honestly, hands down, it's the most relaxing, laid back, fun, family-esque tour we've done in a long time."

The Gym Class Heroes story goes back to Geneva, N.Y., where the members — also drummer Matt McGinley, guitarist Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo and bassist Eric Roberts — met in gym class in 1997. The guys released a few independent records early on and then a copy of their demo fell into the hands of Fall Out Boy hitmaker Pete Wentz, who signed them to his Decaydance label. The group's breakthrough album, "As Cruel as School Children," was released in '06.

The band's 2008 follow up, "The Quilt," taps a bit more into of an R&B and funk vibe in comparison to the more pop-leaning "School Children." Upcoming is a McCoy side project with T-Pain and a new Gym Class Heroes album.

"We just rock out and a lot of people like it," McCoy said.

No confusion about that.

Oh Mein Gott! I Found A Bill Kaulitz Baby Photo!

You GUUUUUUUYSSS! Can we all just agree to take a minute out of our Tokio Hotel new-album vigil and direct our “augen” over to the photo on the right?

Also, I KNOW it’s not TECHNICALLY a photo of Bill Kaulitz as a little “kinder” baby, but it’s close enough. See, I was searching for photos of Bill Kaulitz for a Tokio Hotel-related video shoot that I’m doing tomorrow (you’ll see!!), and I came across this photo of BK. It was taken in Berlin TWO YEARS AGO (before Scream was even out! Do you even REMEMBER what life was like before Scream?) on February 12, 2007 at the Cinema for Peace Charity Gala. It’s SO old-school! Ich liebe Bill’s new look so much better, and I think he actually looks younger now.

Anyway, enjoy that little great from the crate, and now back to whatever it is you were just doing (I’m gonna guess… hitting refresh on the Tokio Hotel site!)

+ Bored? Dance, Tokio Hotel, dance!

Anyone who helps others, lives five to seven years longer than the average. For Eckart von Hirschhausen, this result of a study yesterday at the launch of the campaign "Give there" in the house of the federal press conference mentioned that there is only one conclusion. "Instead of aspirin would have a lot more doctors prescribe an honorary." The doctor, bestselling author and comedian has their own foundation "Humor helps heal" was founded.

Pencils, and donate free time to give to others, that should be even more appreciated. Consequently, large nonprofit organizations together to the 23 million volunteers who have already set up somewhere, more to move into the light and even more people to volunteer commitment to motivate.

Already on Wednesday night reminded Transport Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee in his eulogy at the presentation of the Active Citizenship Promotion Forum in the DZ Bank on Pariser Platz that the use of individuals for the common good is essential: "We from the GDR have continuously called back in 1989 that individuals more responsibility. "Education was the focus of this sponsorship.

The prize, amounting to EUR 15 000 was the foundation "for citizens of Leipzig" for the education fund "Music makes clever". The allows children from as Tiefensee said, "very, very simple conditions," an instrument to learn. Among the initiators of this project are the members of the band Tokio Hotel, which donated 20 000 euros, partly as a mentor for children, where the instrumental tuition fund. Some professional musicians teach children for free, some people donate used instruments. It is not about building up future superstars. "Music is fun and the music is strength", underlined the cello player Tiefensee comprehensive educational effect.

The Board of Trustees Chairman Böhnke Werner recalled that one quarter of all young people, schools without training mature leaves that 12 billion euros more would be needed to Germany for training in the European average to move.

The various possibilities which are necessary for education away from public money, also shows "Enter there." Among the volunteers are the flagship 20-year-old student, Lisa Dahm, the party for sick and disabled children organized and the volunteers Boxtrainer Daniel Tischer, who themselves come from humble beginnings, through sport, respect and discipline, "has learned.

The motto of the campaign "Give there" have a PR agency probably worked long suspected Humor doctor Eckart von Hirschhausen. "It is also already in the Bible." The entry into the commitment in his view is very simple. Money for some other issue, from the cup of coffee to the donation: "Then you feel like richer." Elisabeth Binder

Kaulitz Twins are surprise guests at Oliver Pocher's party (ZOMFG TWIN's DREADS! UNF!)

translation by janasternenreise:

Lifesigns from Tokio Hotel! Lifesigns from Bill Kaulitz!

And what kind of!!!

Bill Kaulitz new hairstyle alert!

Yesterday evening (March 7th, 2009) Bill were together with his brother Tom surprisingly guests at the aftershow-party of “Gefährliches Halbwissen”, the new comedy-stageprogram of Oliver Pocher:

After the premiere in Berlin`s O2 World the VIPs went on celebrating in the trendy Pro Lounge.

There a photographer managed to get the first pictures of the totally new styled Tokio Hotel-singer, which ILOVERADIO.de shows here exclusively.

(No, the blond lady at the left side, who is talking with Bill&Tom, is not Heidi Klum, but Oliver Pocher`s modelfriend Monica Invancan.)

At the end of May, at the latest at early June the third TH-album shall be released, and obviously Bill doesn`t want to offer his fans only new songs, but he also wants to surprise them with a new Bill.

Do we make it short:

Bill has changed his black Struwelpeter-hairdo with white streaks against a long black (artificial-?) braid with thick white synthetic streaks, that ends at shoulder height as dreadlocks. Tom sends his regards!

An extreme change – but just part 1 of 2 – also he reworked at his eye-make-up.

To the black eyeliner Bill had put on a strong rust-red eye-shadow at Saturday evening in the Puro.

Real eye-catcher! Bill and his new profile:

In the picture without zoom effect is almost as if Tom from his brother's new look does not really thrilled. What is Michael Kucharski, including Promotion Manager of Universal Music, thinks?

And here, finally, a look at Bill's new make-up:

What do you say to Bill's new look? Write here in the Comments or in the new Shoutbox of ILOVERADIO.de.

Source, and Claire from the THUKST for the heads up.

ETA: More pictures!
